Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We are active in the EAP space and our existing clients are typically the large multinationals who have their Asian operations based out of Singapore.

Our team is available to deal with family and work problems in order to help manage employee stress and minimize any adverse impact on productivity. Counselling support is provided at our office enabling the client to tackle issues confidentially. It encourages employees and their families to make positive choices in response to life’s challenges. Holistic support also helps employees and family members to resolve difficult decisions around career, finances or relationship matters that may impact their work.

Regular reports, while maintaining employee confidentiality, can be provided on utilization statistics or other variables as per the company’s requirements.

Learning & Development – Talks/Trainings

We can provide training on a variety of topics to individuals or organisations like Effective Communication, Managing Stress, Navigating Cross-Cultural Relationships. Our therapists have lived and worked cross-culturally and are able to provide support in the areas of Adjustment, Cross-Cultural Sensitivity, Third Culture Kids and Families, Settling and Living in Singapore and Repatriation.

Crisis Response

We offer intervention services for organizational crisis situations. If required, these can be provided on-site. Such interventions involve assisting the client to manage crisis situations effectively. In addition, referral to complementary services is provided when necessary to ensure that the client receives a full range of required care.

Outplacement Services

We offer one-to-one sessions with senior industry and HR professionals, along with providing psychological support over this difficult period for the employees and their families.

The industry professionals:

  • Provide career guidance including help with drafting CV
  • Help connect with headhunters and prepare for an interview (the interview sessions are recorded and played back for analysis)
  • Act as a sounding board for the employee

We feel that handling the 'emotional' component of losing a job is equally important. We provide complete flexibility to employees, should they so desire, to opt for a combination of career guidance and psychological counselling to deal with aspects related to losing their jobs.

This psychological support includes:

  • Individual counselling
  • Couple counselling
  • Family counselling

Workshops & Support Groups

Workshops - We host a number of workshops throughout the year covering a wide variety of topics for children, adults, parents, couples, organizations and educational institutions. Workshops are typically customized as per the needs of the audience and can be conducted in different settings.

Workshops for Children – These can be focused on building emotional and social skills covering topics like building confidence and focus, coping with bullying, building a positive school culture, communication, handling anxiety, mindfulness and emotional regulation, etc.

Workshops for Teenagers – These can engage teenagers in topics relevant to their personal growth and quality of life including areas like managing expectations, relationship with parents and/or peers, healing from break-ups, discovering potential, coping skills, addiction, body image and self-esteem.

Workshops for Parents – Parenting is one of the most significant roles people take up in their lifetime as everything they do (or do not do) has a direct impact on their child. Parenting workshops can help in knowing, understanding and implementing the best ways to foster a healthy development of a child along with learning strategies to deal with difficulties faced in the process.

Support Groups – We run support groups for individuals to provide new insights and different perspectives, through interaction with others who have similar concerns and issues.

Singapore International Schools Counselling Network (SISCN)

SACAC Counselling has helped facilitate the Singapore International School Counselling Network (SISCN) for school counsellors in Singapore for over ten years. These meetings are an opportunity for counsellors to meet, network and collaborate with each other. We also bring in expert speakers to discuss topics/issues determined by feedback of the members of the group. We also help to familiarize counsellors with local resources and training opportunities. Speakers in the past have presented on topics such as anxiety, responding to suicidality and emotional literacy in schools. The group meets 2-3 times per year.
